Gorge Wine Merchants Tasting Room & Wine Bar will be Closing
After three years serving local wines and wines made from local vineyards, we will be closing Gorge Wine Merchants wine tasting and wine bar on Friday evening, July 25, 2008 which is only fitting since it’s the Last Friday of the Month, an event we originated two and a half years ago.
We wish to thank all of the people who have supported us, especially local winemakers James & Poppy Mantone of Syncline and Joel & Kris Goodwillie of Wind River Cellars. They have really helped us and they have supported many local start-up wineries.
We’ve also had a lot of support from local vineyard managers like Rick and Jody Ensminger, whose effort at Celilo Vineyard on Underwood Mountain has produced grapes regularly used by some of the very best winemakers in America.
A special thanks to Marsha Holliston at the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce. She’s been one of our biggest advocates and we have seen her push hard for our local businesses.
We’ve also had a good time meeting many great friends through the shop. Finally, we encourage everyone to think locally and drink locally because it’s already globally good. Trust us on this, we know. It’s also better for our local economy.
Case Sales will continue for a Limited Time
For a limited time after July 25th, we will accept full case orders (12 bottles) at a very discounted price. Payment will be accepted at the time a phone order is placed and wine will be available for pick-up by appointment only, shipping will not be available.
So, after the 25th call 509-493-5333 and let us know what you would like to order, we’ll let you know if it is available. |
